RMO®’s SWLF (Straight Wire Low Friction) bracket represents the latest development in ConverTechnology: passive when you want it, total control when you need it. No clips, no doors, and no failures. SWLF Synergy® R combines the simplicity and ease of self-ligating bracket design with the flexibility and advanced performance of Synergy®’s Friction Selection Control (FSC) modes. SWLF Synergy® R provides minimal friction and rapid wire changeout, with cuspid and bicuspid brackets that can be converted into traditional Synergy® style brackets at any time during treatment. Clinically tested and proven effective, SWLF Synergy® R is designed, engineered, and manufactured with pride in the USA.

Features
Molded Convertible Cap on Cuspid/Bicuspids – no moving parts/broken clips/doors/failures/unwanted conversions; consistent & predictable strength over brazed caps
Liberal Tie-Wing Clearance for easy & secure ligation
Low-profile Ball Style Hook for added patient comfort by minimizing cheek irritation
Torque-in-Base for optimal slot alignment; reduces guesswork & patient chair time
Center Scribe for precise/accurate bracket placement
Two-Piece Mesh Pad construction for consistent and predictable bonding
Flared Mesial-Distal Lead-ins – easy wire placement & insertion provides quicker wire changes; fluid movement and less binding of the wire
Permanent ID Markings for quick & easy identification; vertical midlines allow for accurate placement & positioning
Metal-Injection-Molded (MIM) – consistent tolerances and smooth, rounded corners
Cases
Case 1
Case 2
Case 3
Adolescent female presents with a Class I malocclusion, severe overbite, severe lower anterior crowding with blocked out LR2, and dentoalveolar retrusion with incisor retroclination. The patient does not want extraction of the lower incisor
Bonding of low-profile self-ligating braces with an 0.014 in. NiTi.
Movement of the lower right lateral incisor into the arch with an 0.018 in. NiTi.
Placement of a 0.016 x 0/022 Stainless steel wire with warren spring on the lateral incisor for labial root torque
Final result with incredible aesthetics and stability. A bonded “fixed gold-chain” retainer is placed canine to canine.
Case 4
Exposure of the UL3 with the EZlase Soft Tissue Laser.
Bonding of the Upper canines. U2112 are ligature tied for anterior dental anchorage. The 014 NiTi in the upper arch is threaded through the UR3 bracket and above the UL3 bracket. The light forces and friction-selection-control of the Synergy brackets extrudes the canines without loss of anterior tooth alignment.
Orthodontic alignment with low-profile Synergy 018 brackets U/L 2112 and 022 Synergy-R brackets U/L 345. Note the lower incisor spacing due significant arch expansion from RMO’s orthonol wires.
Finishing and Detailing Phase with 16/22 SS wires. The six wings of the Syngery bracket enable numerous ways to colorfully tie the brackets.
Case 5
11 year old Asian female. Bilateral dental Class 2 div 2 malocclusion Class 1 Skeletal pattern Mild lip incompetence Severe upper arch crowding, mild lower arch crowding Excess overbite Normal facial esthetics

Treatment plan Wilson mechanics to expand and distalize upper molars. Used bonded Upper Wilson Tube and Synergy R brackets Lower arch alignment Possible upper bicuspid extraction due to severe cuspid crowding Estimated treatment 24 months

5 months of treatment Molars are almost Class 1, and in correct width (note bonded Wilson tube ) Wilson BDA has produced nice distalization Lower arch aligned, except tooth 31 Cuspids responding to new space by erupting in a favorable fashion
